Having discovered the upcoming trend of juice cleanses in North America and Europe, Ashley and Dave started Cedar in Toronto in 2014. In short span of four years, Cedar has quickly grown to become the largest cold-pressed juice brand in Canada with 47% market share.*

The ‘Cedar’ name is inspired from Cedar wood of the cypress tree family. It means ‘tree of life’ in Latin. It is believed that Cedar tree leaves were used as cure for scurvy that ravaged Jacques Cartier's crew in the winter of 1535-36.
